Message from Family: We are an active family that values communication and mutual respect. We love learning about different cultures and traditions, and would ideally find someone to join our household that speaks another language (between the two parents, we speak English, French, Spanish, Farsi, and Hebrew)
We have a four-year-old Cavapoo, and Dad works from home. We have a wonderful housekeeper who comes to the house four days a week for the heavy house cleaning.
Our current Family Assistant is leaving our family as she is starting her own family. She has been with us for almost five years, and while we are incredibly excited for this next chapter in her life, we are also sad to see her go. She has become such an important part of our family. We are grateful for everything she has done for us and cannot wait to welcome a new Family Assistant into our home and family.
About the Children: Our oldest is a 7-year-old, active and athletic little boy who loves being outdoors and exploring. He just finished 1st grade, where he spent half of his day learning in English and the other half in Hebrew. He is very inquisitive, energetic, and active. He loves science, basketball, and soccer.
Our second child is a 4-year-old girl who just finished her second year of school. She is funny, active, and adventurous. She loves coloring, painting, and riding her bike.
Our youngest is a 2-year-old who just finished his toddler program. He is a sweet, funny little guy who loves playing with trains and reading books.
Their Ideal Family Assistant: We are looking for someone who is trustworthy, reliable, communicative, and proactive. Our ideal candidate is creative, organized, and enjoys engaging with children through learning, exploration, and new experiences. Most importantly, we are building a warm and loving home and hope to find someone who will become a valued long-term part of our family.
The parents describe their parenting style as structured and consistent, with clear expectations and natural consequences rather than a gentle parenting approach. They are looking for a Family Assistant who can confidently support and reinforce those values.
The family would love to find someone who speaks a second language and enjoys sharing different cultures, traditions, and experiences with the children, though this is not a requirement.
Their current Family Assistant has been with the family for almost five years and has grown from a traditional nanny role into a Family Assistant/Household Manager position. The family hopes to find someone who is excited to grow with their family and become an important part of their household for years to come!
Additional Job Details: In addition to childcare responsibilities, the role includes school pick-ups, easy meal preparation/meal prep, running errands such as grocery pick-ups and package drop-offs, light housekeeping, and cleaning up after the children.
We keep a kosher home and ask that no non-kosher meat be brought into our home.
