Message From Mom: We are very attentive, hands on parents. My husband is a doctor and I stay at home so most of the time I am around and when my husband comes home he is a full on Dad. He’s a machine. We are very loving and try to educate ourselves on proper “discipline” and tactics to understand our boy. He is sensitive and emotionally forward so we take into account that one size does not fit all when dealing with toddlers. He’s so smart and sweet but he can throw good fits. We like to talk him through his emotions and be in “the know” when it comes to handling tough situations. He usually only tests us if he’s teething or sick so I’m aware that if he’s fussy, he’s probably got something else going on. We are just two parents who want the very best for our boys!
About the Child:
Our eldest child is a very intellectual 2 year old boy who loves to learn. He’s a typical toddler boy with lots of energy and a mind of his own. He’s timid in new settings but thrives at home one on one. He would love to learn a new language and can count to ten in 3 languages.
We have a new baby on the way and he is expected to be born in Jan of 2021.
Their Ideal Nanny:
- A retired school teacher who speaks another language with enough energy to be engaging with a toddler.
- We need someone with energy to keep up with a toddler.
- We place a heavy emphasis on education and would like someone who can teach and read to our child.
Start Date: Jan 20, 2021-Or sooner if the baby comes sooner
COVID-19 Precautions:
- We try not to have contact outside of immediate family. We minimize grocery trips by using delivery services. We have adjusted to the holiday season by not attending gatherings. - Always wear a mask if going to a public place.
- I’d expect our nanny not to have unnecessary outings and to not attend large gatherings.
- Nanny must wear a mask when in public and to minimize public exposure.
- Must be very cautious and take the pandemic seriously.
- We are all trying to cope with this situation to the best of our ability while maintaining close relationships. During the peek seasons we tighten up on staying home and not socializing.
- Being pregnant and having a toddler, we want to be extra cautious not to contract or spread the virus. We will probably become more strict once the newborn arrives as well.
