Agency Point of Contact for Job # 57566: Gina (720) 464-0678
Message from Mom: My husband and I are both attorneys. I have recently taken a full-time position in Frisco after working part-time from home for 14 years. Because of this lifestyle change, we need some help! Dad also works in Frisco on Tuesdays and Thursdays but works from our guest house M/W/F. I will probably be in Frisco 3 days a week and work from home on Mondays and Fridays. The children will go to a camp this summer for 2 weeks but will be home the rest of the summer. We also have one dog.
About the Children:
Our oldest child is 13 years old and pretty independent. She plays guitar and golf. She occasionally needs help with schoolwork, or at least someone to make sure she gets everything done.
Our youngest child is an 11-year-old and is full of energy and activities. She plays volleyball, goes to gymnastics and dance, is in girl scouts, and loves spending time with friends. She is generally pretty responsible with schoolwork, but she likes to have someone help her review for tests, etc.
Their Ideal Nanny: We are a tight-knit family, and the girls are used to having their Mom around. Ideally, I would love to have someone who can get the girls excited about this change, and ease any nerves associated with my not being available to them 24/7. I love someone who takes initiative and fixes obvious problems without having to be told. I love to cook for my family, and I plan on doing it whenever I can, but when I do have to be late, it would be great if the mother's helper could get dinner started about once per week or so. Someone who has experience with older children and house management it a plus!
Additional Job Details: What I really need is someone to fill my "mom" shoes while I am working. We have a maid who comes once per week on Tuesdays to do the heavy cleaning, but I like to keep a clean house all week. So, I generally need help with light housekeeping (making beds, emptying the dishwasher, light cleaning, etc.), laundry, taking kids to practices when I cannot, overseeing homework, walking our dog, packing lunches, picking up Target/grocery orders, and perhaps starting dinner a few times per week. If there is ever downtime, I would always welcome someone's initiative in organizing the kids closets, the pantry, etc. I just need someone to help make my life easier during this transition!
