Message from Mom: My husband always works from home, often upstairs and out of sight. He comes down for lunch. I work from home 1 or 2 days per week, but while on maternity leave (through October), I will be working from home more often. We have a three-year-old and a newborn. We're a tight-knit, loving family. We are looking for someone who is committed to us and our family. One unique thing about us is that we are super worried about Covid. Maybe we are too worried. But our kids are just super cute, and we worry about them. We are hoping to find a nanny who is very COVID cautious like us. There is no driving anticipated for this role.
About the Children:
Our oldest is a 3-year-old boy who is strong-willed, smart, and very verbal. He is hilarious. He loves building, understanding how things work, telling jokes, singing, dancing, and being outside. He has always had trouble getting enough calories because he is too busy playing to eat. We work hard to give him lots of snack opportunities.
Our youngest is a little girl who was born this July.
Their Ideal Nanny: Our ideal nanny is responsible, patient, tidy, curious, flexible, and helpful. For example, if there happens to be downtime, someone who will find something useful to do with it. We are looking for someone who is willing to pitch in where needed... like helping with the kid's laundry, washing bottles, washing lactation equipment, re-organizing toys into new imaginative play areas, etc. during any downtime when the kids are napping. Our son sometimes naps from 3-5 so there is downtime at the end of the day. Our ideal nanny is safety-conscious, education-focused, and a great communicator.
Additional Job Details: Infant and toddler experience is a requirement. We would like to find a nanny who is great at communicating and comfortable sharing recommendations based on experience or taking charge of tasks without being micromanaged. We want you to be a part of our family, so trust and open communication on both ends is important to us!
