Message from Family: Our family includes a father, grandparents, our toddler, and two sweet kitties. We live in a quiet country neighborhood within easy driving distance of Dallas. We enjoy taking care of our property, gardening, and spending time in nature.
We have had our own business for many years, which enables us to be spontaneous. We may decide to pop on a trip or work from home. We enjoy good adventures, hiking, and historical anthropology. We have housekeepers who come a few times a week.
Grandmother will be at home most days for part of the day, but would love the freedom to travel a little more, knowing our toddler is well taken care of. We value quiet time in the mornings and evenings for about an hour or so.We are looking for someone who can integrate into our family long-term!
About the Child: A very happy and funny 22-month-old with Spina Bifida. He loves going outside, going to the park, reading, playing games, engaging in pretend play, listening to music, singing, and chasing our cats. He wants to learn everything he possibly can and will have you in stitches.
He is intellectually inquisitive and loves to read, go outside, listen to music, sing, and dance. He would require help with medical procedures (daily enema) and physical therapy, which we can teach if we find the right fit.
He is currently learning to walk and is doing really well. He is a joy!

Additional Job Details: The nanny will be required to sign an NDA. Family will give a reference if required.
Training with a qualified provider will be required for performing enemas, urinary catheterization, and any other necessary treatments. All training costs will be covered by the family.
The nanny will be responsible for transporting the child to physical therapy appointments and supporting his progress throughout the day by incorporating therapy exercises into play and daily routines. The nanny should feel comfortable supporting age-appropriate learning and development each day. The nanny should be enthusiastic about participating in physical therapy, and actively supporting the child's therapeutic goals.

Duties:
Light housekeeping
Childs laundry
Cooking for children
Schedule as of now: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00/7:00 PM.
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week guaranteed. On Mondays and Thursdays, the child is with his mother (split custody). While you may not be scheduled in the home for the full 40 hours each week. We may occasionally ask you to come in on those days for a portion of the day to assist with tasks such as preparing healthy meals for the week, organizing and maintaining his living areas, or completing online courses related to child discipline, growth, and development.
Our schedule is flexible and may change from week to week. We will always provide as much notice as possible. You will be working exclusively for our family.
We may need assistance on weekends (days or nights) if we are traveling for business. This currently occurs approximately three weekends per year.
The final custody hearing will take place in July, at which time we will have greater clarity regarding the long-term weekly schedule.
Overnights: Dad attends trade shows and may be away for 6-9 days at a time, approximately three times per year. These dates are typically known about a year in advance (give or take a few days), allowing for planning accordingly.
There may also be a few (1-3) shorter trips throughout the year, typically lasting 1–2 days.
Compensation: $30-$40 per hour, DOE
Total Annual compensation $62,400 - $83,200
