Job # 50263: After-School Family Assistant Needed For Lively Denver Family (S University Blvd & E Mississippi Ave)

Message from Family: We are seeking a loving, after-school family assistant to care for our children and help with household tasks. The busiest work season for mom is from May 8th to June 8th and extra hours may be offered during this time. We have two dogs (one large and one small), and occasional feeding of the dogs is requested.

About the Children:
Our oldest child is 8 years old and in 3rd grade. She is bright, independent, and self-aware. She is a sensitive child and has been diagnosed with mild, high-functioning ASD, as well as ADHD and dyslexia. She is extremely loving and desires love and engagement from everyone around her. She loves music, and anything related to the ocean (sharks, especially), and enjoys legos and other crafts.

Our middle child is 6 years old and in Kindergarten. The best way to describe her is that she is like a warm hug. She is effusively happy, loving, and generous to those around her. She thrives when coloring or drawing, and loves to memorize books and read them back to you.

Our youngest is 3 years old and in preschool. He is a fun and playful child who wants to keep up with his big sisters. He is calm and easygoing, loves books and cars, and is warm and kind to all around him.

Their Ideal Nanny: Our ideal nanny would be someone who is active and engaging with our children, while also providing structure to their day and routine. We seek someone who is highly organized and self-motivated - who can observe our natural routines and provide corresponding support (with guidance from us, of course)! Prior nanny experience is required given the number of children we have, and the support we as working parents will need. Someone who is creative and also enjoys being outside is a plus! A clean driving record is preferred.

Additional Job Details: A vehicle that can accommodate at least two car seats is required as school pick-ups are one of the main job duties. In addition to after-school pick-ups, we would also request occasional errands to be completed, such as dry-cleaning pickup/drop off; grocery shopping; retail pick-ups/returns; etc. At-home duties include but are not limited to dinner meal prep and lunch packing; laundry washing, folding, and putting away clothes; light cleaning of common areas and kids' rooms; organization of kids' rooms; overseeing any homework (20 minutes of reading for our oldest child only), and assistance with school projects as necessary.
