Job # 26072: Afternoon Nanny Needed in Lake Highlands, TX (Walnut Hill Ln & Skillman St)

Agency Point of Contact for Job #26072: Kate (480)586-3012

Message from Family: We've just moved back to Dallas (Lake Highlands specifically) after nearly 15 years in Los Angeles. We are still getting settled into our house and new routine, but our kids are in their schools/daycare now and are adjusting well.

My husband and I are both management consultants and work from home a significant amount of time. We also occasionally travel for work and there will be times we're looking for additional help when one of us is traveling.

We do not have pets. We will be hiring a housekeeper to come.

About the Children:

Our oldest is a very energetic 4 yo. He is happy, curious, and loves a good joke. He is also mildly autistic. He's been receiving individualized education support for the past year+ and doing very well on his journey. He attends an elementary school with other neurodiverse children and we're looking for additional support primarily in the afternoons to watch him, continue his education, and potentially start taking him to afternoon activities.

Our daughter is a happy albeit shy, 2 yo. She loves to do things for herself and doesn't want to be left out of anything! She attends daycare every day and so we're primarily looking for help picking her up in the afternoons. This will mean taking our oldest along to pick her up and bring them both back to our house and helping to get ready for dinner, etc.

Their Ideal Nanny:We'd like an experienced nanny but open to entry level, but someone who is active, educated, and can keep up with our sons energy and curiosity level. Someone with experience working with autistic children is a bonus. Our son enjoys learning how things work and so someone who is creative and can keep his imagination going is ideal. We are also looking for someone with a calm and patient demeanor. We are calm, fairly quiet people and because we work from home, we will also need the house to not be too loud in the afternoons.

Additional Job Details:Ideally, we'd like someone to come to our house around 1:30/2 to help straighten up the kids rooms/playroom and do light laundry. Our oldest gets out of school at 3pm and our house is walking distance from school (~3 blocks) so we'd like our nanny to walk to school to pick him up and bring him back to the house for an afternoon snack (no allergies or special diet). In the afternoon, we'd like our son to be able to play, read, and potentially do after school activities with other kids or go to the library, etc.

If feasible, we'd like our nanny to also pick up our daughter from her daycare at the end of the day around 5 pm, which is close to the house but is a drive. We'd prefer if they could use their car but we're also open to using one of ours if needed.
