Job # 89985: Afternoon Shift Nanny Needed in Hollywood, FL (Pembroke Rd & S State Rd 7)
Agency Point of Contact for Job #89985: Gina (720) 464-0678
Message from Mom: I am a healthcare professional who recently underwent separation. I work early hours at a hospital and am currently pursuing a doctorate. While we currently don't have pets, we're considering getting support animals for our adopted children in the future. During this separation and divorce process, both children will require extra care and attention. We don't have extended family in the area, so we'll be relying on a nanny to assist with the kids' needs while I'm at work.
About the Children:My son is 16 years old, he is a high functioning non-violent autistic teenager. Extremely social & charming. He requires close supervision because emotionally and behaviorally he is much younger than his actual age. Monday- Thursday he gets home at 3:30pm. Friday he gets home at 1:30pm.
My daughter is also 14 years old and is a highly intelligent teenager. She requires minimal supervision. She gets on the bus at 5:30am and gets home around 4:00pm.
Their Ideal Nanny:We're looking for a nanny who has clear English communication skills, strikes a balance between kindness and firmness (definitely not a pushover), and respects the rules we've set for the children. It's crucial that they bring organization, reliability, and accountability to the table, given the kids' past experiences with trauma; stability is key. We'd appreciate someone who not only respects the guidelines set by the mom but also can step in if the other nanny needs coverage due to illness or any other unexpected situations.
Additional Job Details:The Nanny will be needed one weekend a month when I am on call until sorted out in custody agreement. We have a cleaning service so very light housekeeping is needed. Might need help with some errands, and transporting my son to therapy, & transport to & from bus stop until I am able to make other arrangements. Mom typically gets home around 4:00pm and will need help with dinner and meal prep because the family typically eats dinner before 5:00pm. The son has in home therapy at 5:30pm.
