Job #51090: Calm Career Nanny Needed For A Busy Family In Phoenix: (44th St. & Camelback Rd.)

Agency Point of Contact for Job #51090: Gina (720) 464-0678

Message from Family: We are Canadian and moved to Phoenix in the fall of 2018. Dad is a surgeon and mom is a family doctor. We love traveling, being outdoors, and all sorts of sports and activities. Our hours are long and aren't always consistent, so flexibility is necessary, particularly when it comes to staying a little later some days. Our focus is on spending as much quality time with our children as possible when we are not working and we need a nanny who is committed to managing the household to facilitate that goal.

Our extended family, including grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends love escaping the cold and there are often friendly visitors around the house. Although the family does not currently have pets, the grandparents have two golden retrievers, who often visit.

The children attend a French language school and we strongly value international perspective. Our home is warm and accepting of diverse people and perspectives.

About the Children:

Our son is 5 years old. He is energetic, determined and curious. He is our little engineer; his greatest passions in life are space, math and geography. He needs a nanny who is unflappable and can show him how to calmly process the world.

Our daughter is almost 3 years old going on 6 ;).  She started speaking in full sentences at 1.5 and has not stopped talking since. She potty trained herself when she turned 2. She is independent, determined and a little comedian. She wants to do everything her older brother does and they are best friends.

Their Ideal Nanny: Our ideal nanny would be calm, perceptive, self-motivated, nurturing and patient, prompt and reliable, neat, organized and accountable, honest and a great problem solver. We believe strongly in being silly and would appreciate someone with a sense of humor. We would love to find a Nanny who speaks French or Spanish. Language fluency itself though isn't a requirement; but instead we appreciate an attitude of learning and discovery with an international awareness. Someone with flexibility in their schedule is ideal. We might need the nanny to come in a little early some days.

Additional Job Details: The ability to drive and use of one's own vehicle will be required as daily driving will be required to pick the kids up from preschool and take them to extra curricular activities. We require meal planning and preparation for dinner most nights as we usually do not get home in time to cook. Our nanny must feel comfortable with meal planning and cooking as this is an essential function of the job. We do try to have 1-2 monthly date nights on Fridays or Saturdays and appreciate if our nanny can be available for those nights.
