Message from Family: Our previous nanny was like part of the family. She would take the kids to school in the morning and pick them up in the afternoon, watching our littlest in the meantime. Both parents work from home most days and typically finish up around 5:30pm or 6pm, but sometimes work later. We also occasionally need overnight help.

We are not just looking for a babysitter. We want somebody who is going to talk to our children and do activities with them to help them develop and stimulate their minds. We'd like our little one to get outside several days a week while the boys are at school and eventually start learning her letters and sounds. Reading to her is very important to us right now.

We ask the nanny to keep the children's rooms clean and their laundry done (the boys can help with this, but need supervision), but they are not responsible for cleaning the full house, although we do expect to clean up after themselves or the children as we do.

About the Child:

Our oldest is a curious and kind eight-year-old boy. He loves science and figuring out the world. He's an avid reader.

Our next is a six-year-old wonder. He has spent his whole life trying to keep up with his older brother and he's not far behind. He's in kindergarten, but can read and do math. He's our little jokester.

Our youngest is an adorable little toddler, she is almost 2 years old. She's learning new words every day. She loves to use a “purse” and scarf (she's a little fashionista) and go down slides at the park.

Their Ideal Nanny: We are seeking an individual with excellent judgment, capable of effectively guiding and disciplining our children when necessary. Our children are generally well-behaved and responsive to guidance. Additionally, we require someone who is exceptionally reliable, punctual, and adaptable, willing to work extended hours as we may need, with compensation for overtime. The ideal candidate should be actively engaging, enjoy spending time outdoors, and be able to assist with light housekeeping, miscellaneous errands, children's laundry, and cooking for the children.

Additional Job Details: We give five days of paid vacation and try to coordinate that with our own. We give two sick days paid. Our prior nanny had a car and used it and we paid her mileage. That works for us, or we're willing to consider providing a car to use to transport our children.

We guarantee 40 hours a week, but most weeks will be 50 hours. During the summer, they may be closer to 40 or 45 hours. If we are on vacation with the children, and the nanny is not taking that as vacation time, we will let them work up to 8 hours a day on household tasks and errands if they would like the hours.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 7:30 am-5:30/6 pm

*Occasional date nights, extended evening hours, and overnights

*Guaranteed 40 hours a week & Over-Time

*Average hours per week will be 50hrs

Compensation: $20-$25 per hour
