Job # 94406
Energetic, Dependable, And Experienced Family Assistant Needed For A Family In Cedar Hill (N Main St & W Belt Line Rd)

This job has been closed.

Nanny

Message from Family: We are a warm and caring family who recently relocated from North Carolina to Texas. While we have recently separated, we remain committed to working together to provide the best possible life for our son. Mom lives in Mansfield, and Dad lives in Cedar Hill. Our son spends Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays with Mom, and Tuesdays and Thursdays with Dad. There are no pets in either home.

About the Child: Our 3-year-old son is a fun, friendly, and highly energetic little boy who loves make-believe cooking, food, and playing with his play kitchen. He also enjoys sports like golf and soccer, and loves Bluey. He has allergies to peanuts, tree nuts, shellfish, sesame, and eggs, but has no special needs.

Their Ideal Family Assistant: We are seeking someone who is highly energetic, dependable, and an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate should be a true self-starter—someone who takes initiative, anticipates needs, and requires minimal direction to ensure the household runs smoothly.

The right candidate will have weekend availability and a strong work ethic. They will bring a proactive, organized approach to each day, always arriving prepared with engaging activities and a positive attitude. Physical stamina and an active presence are essential, as the role involves caring for a toddler and requires the ability to move easily up and down from the floor, outdoors, or wherever the day takes them. Strong communication skills, reliability, and the ability to maintain professional boundaries are key. Someone who is available to come into work early if the child is sick and can't go to daycare that day would be highly prioritized.

We value a confident assistant who can support the household with enthusiasm, structure, and a genuine love for working with children.

Additional Job Details: At Dad's home, the Family Assistant will provide household support from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Responsibilities include managing inventory for household items, ordering and picking up groceries as needed, coordinating home maintenance (such as scheduling lawn care or deliveries during work hours), light housekeeping (note: a housekeeper handles deep cleaning), running errands like dry cleaning and returns, and meal prep twice a week. Meal prep typically involves preparing frozen meals for the child and simple, healthy meals for Dad, such as 2–3 proteins (salmon, chicken) and 2–3 vegetables (roasted or air-fried). From 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM, the Family Assistant will pick up the child from daycare, take him on outings to the park or trampoline parks a few times a week, help with dinner, and assist with the bath and bedtime routine.

At Mom's house, the role focuses on supporting the evening routine after daycare, including helping with dinner and the nighttime schedule.

Driving responsibilities include daycare pickup, which is located 6 minutes from Mom's home and 20 minutes from Dad's. A clean driving record is required.

Travel: There may be travel presented at times throughout the year that are optional. Travel is primarily domestic but it would be a huge plus if the Family Assistant could travel internationally with the family.
