UPDATES IN RED
Message from Mom: I'm looking for a Family Assistant to help keep our home running smoothly. This includes laundry, light cleaning, general household management (like hiring and coordinating with contractors), and childcare. We're a smart and active family, and I'd love someone who is sharp, organized, and great with both managing projects and supporting the kids.
Their dad and I are divorced, but live close by. This role would work exclusively with me and my household. Our co-parenting schedule changes week to week, so when the kids are with their dad, you would naturally have fewer childcare duties. On those days, I'm hoping for someone who can take initiative, focus on household projects, and stay on top of things without needing a lot of direction.
I'm very encouraging of a balanced work schedule and want this role to feel supportive and flexible.
About the Children: I have two boys, my oldest is 10 years old, and my youngest is 7 years old.
Their Ideal Family Assistant: A Spanish speaker is strongly preferred. They are hoping to find someone who is smart, active, and adventurous… someone who is naturally curious and genuinely interested in exploring the world with the boys (bonus if you enjoy things like soccer, rock climbing, or similar activities).
They'd love a Family Assistant who is sharp, organized, motivated, and always on top of things, while also being very kind, playful, and tuned in to the kids' interests. Someone who invites the boys to play, comes up with creative games, and brings a fun, outdoorsy spirit to each day.
They'd love someone who enjoys taking the kids on outings, whether it's to the creek by the library, the children's museum, or outside for a snowball fight and who can easily think of similar activities to keep them engaged and active. They also want someone who stays off their phone unless it's work-related.
Teaching in a fun, hands-on way is also important. Their last nanny helped the boys learn how to fold their clothes and make their beds, and they'd love someone who can continue building those life skills while also being confident in supporting academic learning. Ideally, you feel comfortable with 5th-grade level math and above, and can help explain topics like the solar system, math concepts, and more challenging equations.
They are looking for someone who pays attention equally to both boys, listens well, understands their needs, and brings a positive, warm spirit. Appropriate physical affection, like offering hugs when it feels right, is welcomed.
*** A clean driving record is preferred, but if there are any minor issues, they are open to an explanation.
