Job # 20527: Experienced, Full-Time Live-In Nanny Needed in Miami Beach (Dade Blvd & Washington Ave)
Agency Point of Contact for Job #20527: Gina (720) 464 0678
Message from Family: We are a loving family with two busy parents who are business owners. Our top priority is providing our two wonderful daughters with a loving and stable home environment full of happiness. We also have two small, hypoallergenic dogs. Being a Jewish family, it's essential to us that our cultural and religious practices are respected and embraced. We are looking for a nanny who is not only exceptional in childcare but also understands the busy nature of our daily lives and can adapt accordingly. Sensitivity to our values and traditions is crucial, and we hope to find a candidate who can contribute to a positive and inclusive atmosphere for our family.
About the Children: Our oldest daughter is 12 years old. Her activities include Lacrosse, Swimming, Dance, Football and Cheerleading. Her drop off time for school is at 7:30am. Monday, Wednesday and Friday her school and activities end by 6:00pm. Tuesday and Thursday her school and activities end between 6:30 and 7:00pm.
Our youngest daughter is 7 years old. Her activities include Lacrosse and Tennis. However, she is kind of between sports at the moment. We are anticipating an increase in activities over the next six months or so. She is very creative and loves art. We would like to explore art-related activities with the future nanny. Her school drop-off is at 7:30am and her school pickup is usually around 3:00pm. It would be good to know that she struggles with some general anxiety and separation anxiety. She has a hard time if she knows that Mom & Dad might be going somewhere without the girls and can worry about the “what-ifs” of life from time to time. Someone who is sensitive and understanding with this would be wonderful!
Their Ideal Nanny: We are looking for someone who brings energy, thoughtfulness, and a genuine love for childcare to our family. We are seeking a professional individual who can maintain a balance between structure and fun. The ideal candidate should be proactive in planning engaging activities, prioritizing outdoor play, and minimizing screen time for the girls. While housekeeping duties are not expected beyond occasional laundry and tidying, the nanny will assist with daily tasks like driving the children to activities/school, running errands, and supporting with wake-up and bedtime routines. We need someone who is not only responsible but also possesses essential skills such as swimming, driving, and basic cooking. If you also share our Jewish heritage, that would be amazing; bonus points if you are fluent in Spanish.
Additional Job Details: The family lives in a home in Miami Beach (cross streets are Dade Blvd. & Washington Ave.) however, their permanent residence is currently under renovation. Until the renovations are completed (estimated to be completed early May- early June) the family will be living in a temporary residence in Surfside (cross streets are Byron Ave. & 88th St.).
The girls typically go to sleep-away camp for three weeks during the summer however there is a significant chance the youngest will not attend sleep-away camp this year. If both girls are gone the services required of the nanny during this time will be limited, if at all. Either way, the Nanny will be paid for this time.
Temporary live-in accommodations: The nanny will have their own private bedroom. However in the temporary residence, the bathroom currently has the washer/dryer in it so it will need to be accessed by other family members. Please keep in mind this is very short term.
Long-term live-in accommodations: In the permanent residence, the nanny will have their own private bathroom and bedroom. A car will be provided for the nanny for running errands, picking up and dropping off the girls at school and activities.
Travel: The family has a second home in Park City, Utah. The nanny will be expected to travel with the family when they go here for vacation as needed.
Start Date: ASAP
Expected Job Duration: Longterm
Duties: Light housekeeping, running miscellaneous errands and cooking for children, children's laundry, school pick up and drop off.
Schedule: Monday- Friday, 6:00am– 8:00am and 3:00pm– 9:00pm. 40 hours/week.
**Flexibility is very important to this family. Ideally the nanny would be able to help on the weekends, travel with the family, and be flexible with the hours if needed.
Compensation: $30-$38 per hour
Benefits:Paid Vacation (10 days), Sick Pay (8 days), Use of Car, Health Care Stipend (The nanny will need to have their own coverage).
