Message from Dad: I work from home as an engineer for a tech company. At home, it's just my son and me. His mother and I are going through a divorce, and he spends half of his time with her. This position will provide care for him during the time he is with me.
About the Child: My son, a typical 2-year-old toddler, is a supernova of energy, emotions, curiosity, love, and mischief. He likes giggling and running while being chased around the home, or quietly building his Magna-Tile and Duplo towers. Sometimes he wants me to read a book to him, over and over, followed by many more books. If he had his way, he would live outside forever. He's a dedicated artist: crayons, markers, chalk, Play-Doh, and magnetic drawing boards. He is an accomplished experimental musician, often using multiple musical books at once to create a cacophony of noise.
Their Ideal Nanny: The ideal nanny has experience working with toddlers and guiding them through their big emotions. They should be able to plan engaging activities to keep my son busy and curious, while also respecting his need for independent play. Organization and strong communication skills are essential. I would like to review the plan at the start of each day and receive a summary at the end of each day. The right nanny will also feel comfortable discussing developmental milestones and creating learning activities that support my son's growth and development.
Additional Job Details: Although I work from home, I will not interact with my son while he is in the nanny's care. I can briefly pause work if needed, for example, during lunch or if the nanny needs to step away, but otherwise, I prefer to stay focused on work throughout the day.
