Message from Family: Hi! We're a family of 4, and we're looking for a full-time nanny for our two little kids. Mom is a full-time resident physician. Dad is a computer programmer, who has a hybrid office/work-from-home position. We have a small mixed-breed dog who is crated during the day, but a person who feels comfortable letting him out occasionally in the middle of the day is a huge plus! Our ideal candidate is someone who is enthusiastic about working with small children, is willing to be kind and patient with them, and is excited to help them experience the world.
*Mom and/or Dad may be home during the day but will be busy working.

About the Children: Our oldest is 2.5 years old. He is very inquisitive and loves trucks, cars, and anything with wheels. He also loves to read, dance and sing songs. He can be shy at first but quickly warms up to new people. He goes to preschool three days a week (MWF).

Our youngest is 3 months old. She is very sweet and has the cutest laugh. Her favorite thing in the world is her big brother.

Their Ideal Nanny: Enthusiastic, energetic, active, patient, kind, and a self-starter. They would be willing to get down to a kid's level and play with them. Timely and good/open communication. Educated on respectful/mindful parenting. Utilizes screen time extremely sparingly (we heavily restrict the amount of screen time our kids get.. usually a half hour a day). Has some knowledge of Montessori methods. Enjoys spending time outside and in nature.

Additional Job Details: Must have own transportation. Willingness to drive the kids to activities (zoo, park, library, arboretum, etc.) is a huge plus. We are a mixed family from a white, Chinese, and Vietnamese background. We practice respectful/mindful parenting using a developmentally-informed approach.

Additional benefits: paid week of Christmas, paid Wed-Fri of Thanksgiving week, 10 days paid PTO/yr, and 5 days paid sick leave/yr.

Duties:
Light housekeeping
Child's laundry
Cooking for children

Schedule:
Monday-Thursday: 8 am-5 pm
Fridays: 8 am-3 pm
*Occasional date nights/evenings

Compensation: $20 to $25 per hour DOE
