UPDATES IN RED
Message from Family: We're a warm, close-knit family in Fort Worth expecting our first child in late February. We're seeking someone who will grow with us for years, someone who becomes an extension of our family, not just an employee. We envision a long-term relationship built on trust, care, and shared values as our family expands (we hope to have three children in total).
We believe in structured days and consistent routines, but also in letting kids be kids, full of outdoor play, creativity, and learning through real-world experiences. We're an “old-fashioned childhood” kind of home: no screens, lots of books, art, and hands-on fun. Stability, love, and laughter are at the core of how we parent.
About the Child: We are expecting our first child in February
Their Ideal Nanny: We are looking for someone who is deeply caring and proactive, loves children, and sees this as a long-term relationship. Someone who brings warmth, reliability, and confidence, with a strong sense of structure balanced by fun and flexibility, is organized but not rigid, communicates openly and respectfully with parents, is comfortable working in a two-dad household, (ideally) speaks Spanish or another second language, and is a structured caregiver who values old-fashioned childhoods.
Experience with newborns is a plus, but we welcome broader childcare backgrounds for the right personality and long-term mindset.
Additional Job Details: Our nanny will primarily focus on childcare. Housekeeping duties are limited to the baby's laundry, bottles, and play areas. We have a full-time housekeeper for general home care, but we may occasionally ask for help with a quick errand, light tidying, or feeding our friendly golden retriever when we're away.
You'll begin alongside an experienced NCS for the first three months to establish rhythms and routines. As the baby grows, your role will expand into supporting early learning, social development, and (eventually) activities.
Daily Life: The schedule will align with our newborn's routine, typically covering mornings through evenings. Because our newborn will have short wake windows and frequent naps, you'll have natural breaks throughout the day. Some days, your help will be needed more in the evening through bedtime. Many evenings, we cover bedtime, and you will be off. You'll have one to two days off per week, with another caregiver available to cover during your days off and vacations.
Living Agreement: Private apartment within our house. The suite has a separate entrance, a private bedroom, bathroom, living space, and kitchenette, with full access to the main kitchen if you prefer. It's fully furnished, includes Wi-Fi and TV, and offers a comfortable retreat and privacy while still feeling part of the household. Meals are a mix of joining us and preparing your own…whichever feels natural.
Relocation: Open to relocation for the right fit.
Travel: Travel is part of our life! You and the children will accompany us on occasional domestic trips, often just a long weekend, but sometimes up to a week long. Trips will be scheduled with you in advance, and during travel, you'll have your own private accommodations and generous downtime between active childcare hours.
