Job #73997: Mature And Fun-Loving Nanny Needed For An Adorable Little Boy In McKinney, TX (Virginia Pkwy & Ridge Rd)
Message from Dad: I work from home as a software engineer, and it's just me and my son in our home. Until recently, my son was cared for at home, but he is now in daycare. This will be my first time hiring a Nanny, as I am exploring if this might be a better fit for our family rather than having him in daycare.
We live in a large house, so even though I work from home, the Nanny and my son will have plenty of space and privacy. You might see me during a few short breaks to say hi, but otherwise, you won't hear or see me much during the day.
I'm currently going through a divorce and have full custody of my son at this time. As the situation is ongoing, I'm looking for a Nanny who is mature, adaptable, and able to handle any changes that may arise as the case progresses.
About the Child: My son is a lively one-year-old who loves playing with his toys, especially the musical ones. He's at that stage where he demands attention and expects the world to revolve around him. His current favorite activity is climbing on furniture he's not supposed to, even though he hasn't started walking yet—he's quite the expert at cruising around the house.
He has a strong personality and knows exactly what he wants. While he can be a bit of a handful at times, he's also an adorable, amazing little bundle of energy. He loves playing together, rolling around on the floor, and giggling from tickle sessions.
Their Ideal Nanny: I am looking for a Nanny who is patient, playful, and confident in their opinions while being respectful of mine. As a first-time parent, I value the experience and insights a seasoned Nanny can bring, especially regarding early childhood education and developmental milestones. I'd love to hear their thoughts on childcare as she cares for my son, but it's important that she respects the parenting choices I make.
Ideally, our Nanny should be knowledgeable about early childhood education and child development practices. It would be amazing to hire someone with whom I can discuss the pros and cons of various child development approaches and collaboratively decide what's best for my son.
While not essential, it would be a bonus if the Nanny is bilingual and willing to travel with me on quick business trips here and there.
Travel: I travel for work every 3-6 months, typically for 3-4 days at a time. I would love for our Nanny to accompany us on these trips.
