Our ideal candidate will be someone who is self-sufficient, independent, and able to manage a dynamic household. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about child development, well-organized, and can seamlessly balance the daily demands of caring for multiple children while maintaining a structured and organized household. As both parents have full-time careers, we need someone who can handle daily routines seamlessly and step in with flexibility when needed. The ideal candidate is a pro-active and high agency, meaning they proactively anticipate needs, think about the forward calendar, ask where they can contribute if they have downtime, and help keep us organized.
About the Children: Our oldest is a strong willed 8 year old boy. He is in school from 8:00am- 3:00pm.
Our middle child is a 5 year old boy. He is also in school from 8:00am- 3:00pm. He is very funny and high-energy. He is also very strong willed.
Our youngest is a 1 year old girl. She is generally a very easy baby. She will be starting part-time preschool from 8:00am- 11:15am. She typically naps from 12:30pm- 2:30pm.
Their Ideal Nanny: The ideal nanny for this family thrives in a dynamic, often chaotic environment and excels at bringing structure and organization to the household. This role calls for a highly organized, detail-oriented individual who takes initiative to manage day-to-day tasks like unpacking backpacks, putting things away promptly, and keeping the home tidy and well-organized. With significant downtime in the role, the nanny should proactively utilize that time to tackle household tasks such as organizing toy bins and sports equipment. Previous experience in education is highly desirable, as is a firm and confident personality capable of setting boundaries effectively with the boys while remaining warm, affectionate, and approachable. The family seeks someone who is proactive, independent, and able to manage responsibilities without needing constant oversight. This nanny will play a vital role in creating order amidst the parents' busy schedules, helping to maintain a harmonious household. Additionally, the nanny should be polished and professional, capable of accompanying the family to country clubs and social events, with the social awareness to adapt to various settings. A non-smoker with no visible tattoos, who presents themselves professionally, is essential for this position.
Additional Job Details: This position involves providing attentive, loving, and age-appropriate care for the children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. The ideal candidate will engage the children in educational and recreational activities that support their intellectual, social, and emotional development while maintaining consistent daily routines, including meals, naps, and playtime. Responsibilities include managing schoolwork, extracurricular activities, playdates, and appointments, as well as assisting with light housekeeping tasks related to the children, such as cleaning up after meals, tidying play areas and bedrooms, and doing laundry.
The nanny will help foster age-appropriate responsibilities for the children and implement consistent discipline aligned with the family's core rules of kindness, respect, and no whining. Preparing healthy meals and snacks tailored to accommodate the children's allergies is essential, as is fostering a nurturing and calm environment through positive reinforcement and clear boundaries.
Additional duties include managing the family calendar, organizing appointments, assisting with household administrative tasks, and helping with organizational projects like tidying cupboards or putting away holiday decorations. The role may also involve running errands, such as grocery shopping, handling deliveries, or purchasing birthday gifts.
