Job # 39439: Part-Time Family Assistant Needed In Dallas (Walnut Hill Ln & Hillcrest Rd)

Message from Family: We recently moved to Texas last year from NYC. While we had a nanny when the children were young, we have had au pairs for the past several years. Moving to Texas made us consider our childcare picture, and what we really are looking for is a family assistant who will be able to manage parts of our household in addition to picking up the children and taking them to activities. We are looking for that special person who will be able to help us oversee larger projects, as well as do grocery shopping, cooking, and light housecleaning while the children are at school.

About the Child:
Our daughter is a very sweet 4th grader who loves to dance, swim and play with her friends. She loves school, is a hard worker, and wants to do her best. She also likes to play soccer with her classmates and is typically found dancing or humming a tune.

Our son is going into 2nd grade and is very active. He loves football and lacrosse and playing outdoors with his friends. He is also a good swimmer like his sister. You may also find him playing in the pool. He is a good student and is able to read well for his age. He enjoys playing with Legos and building things as well.

Their Ideal Family Assistant: Someone who has childcare experience, is organized, flexible, and detail-oriented. Someone who cares about modeling appropriate manners and is willing to discipline children when necessary but also who is loving, caring, and a self-starter, needing limited direction and oversight to be successful.

Additional Job Details: Our children are very well-behaved and polite. We are looking for a family assistant who is able to continue modeling good behavior for them. They have activities after school, and we would need your help making sure that their homework is started and, most times, completed before any after-school activities begin. We are looking for a partner who is able to communicate well and effectively. Driving is required.

Duties: 
Grocery shopping
Light housekeeping
Miscellaneous errands
Childs laundry
Cooking for family

Schedule:
Monday to Thursday, 2 pm to 7 pm
Fridays 2 pm-6 pm
*Occasional date nights, evenings, and school breaks

Compensation: $30 to $35 per hour DOE
