Agency Point of Contact for Job # 66438: Gina (720) 464-0678
Message from Family: We are an active and engaged family comprised of a mother, father, and two girls. We need part-time help to keep things rolling in our house - picks-up from school, occasional drives to extracurricular activities, help with dinner and clean up, support with homework as well as family scheduling, and other things like ensuring the girls contribute with household chores. We are bilingual (English/Spanish) and look forward to sharing our home and family with someone who is interested in becoming part of our extended family. We have several chickens and are thinking about getting a dog. We are fortunate to get help with cleaning the house. Both parents have full schedules but prioritize quality family time. It is possible that one parent may work from home on certain days.
About the Children:
Our oldest child is an 11-year-old, transgender girl, who is intelligent, loving, and kind. She likes school, writing, singing, and dancing. She is exceptional and receives much support for her exceptionality.
Our youngest child is turning 6 years old soon. She is energetic, kind, fun, and playful. She loves to draw, roll play, sing, and dance.
Their Ideal Nanny: Ideally, our nanny would be experienced, positive and energetic. Having experience with neurodivergent kids or cognitively diverse kids would be very helpful. Someone who will be comfortable fitting into our family structure and dynamic. Someone who is comfortable with themselves and their goals and comfortable sharing themselves with us. Someone who wants to laugh, joke, dance, play, and also who is able to get the nitty-gritty of childcare and running a house done. Someone who is passionate about building community, creative, accountable and creative. Identifying as queer or a queer ally/advocate is a must.
Additional Job Details:
We see our part-time nanny working 4 days a week. Helping with school pick up in the afternoon to nighttime, including dinner preparation and dinner clean up. Each afternoon there will be activities and free play time as well as some time for homework. Once or twice a week there will be additional activities like music lessons, etc. Many late afternoons or evenings parents would come home from work and dinner would ideally include all members (nanny, two girls, and both parents). Clean-up would also include all members. Nighttime routines start at 6:45pm -7:00pm and our youngest is in bed by 7:30pm and our oldest by 8:00pm-8:15pm.
