Professional Housekeeper and Kitty Care Companion Needed in Kailua (Oahu, HI)

Job Overview: A couple in Kailua is looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and cat-loving Housekeeper to provide weekly support in maintaining their home. This role combines professional housekeeping with daily care for the family's three beloved cats. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes pride in creating an organized, well-maintained home, works independently with minimal supervision, and naturally notices what needs to be done before being asked.

Household Responsibilities:

• Perform general housekeeping and deep cleaning duties throughout the home
• Run occasional household errands
• Independently identify and complete tasks that need attention without requiring frequent direction or supervision
• Maintain the home while the principals may be away or unavailable
• Adjust housekeeping tasks as needed when home projects, repairs, or contractors are present in the home

Cat Care Responsibilities:

• Dedicate approximately one hour each workday to caring for and engaging with the family's three cats
• Provide one to two feedings per day according to the family's established routine
• Spend intentional time offering companionship, attention, and playtime
• Patiently build trust with cats who may need extra time and care when becoming comfortable with someone new
• Monitor the cats' general well-being and promptly communicate any changes or concerns to the employers

Home Details:

• Approximately 1,500 square feet
• 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home
• One bedroom is currently used as a home office.

Expected Job Duration: At least 6 months, with the opportunity to extend if the family remains on the island.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM
* Guaranteed 32 hours a week

Compensation: $65-$70 per hour, DOE
