Job # 66981: Sweet Boy Needs a Loving Nanny in Dallas (Midway Rd and Forest Ln)

Agency Point of Contact for Job # 66981: Gina (720) 464-0678

Message from Family: At the heart of our household, you'll find a dedicated and compassionate mom, who is also an attorney, and works at her office outside of our home for most of the week. Occasionally, she might spend three days working from home. Dad is in sales and has the flexibility to work from home full-time, with the occasional trip about once a month. When he's around, he's always eager to assist our nanny with any questions that may arise during the day. In our home, both mom and dad have their own offices, ensuring that we respect the nanny's space and allow them to focus on the care of our beloved son. We also share our lives with an adorable 11-year-old long-haired chihuahua who is incredibly low maintenance and tends to keep to himself, requiring no additional attention. To help keep our home in tip-top shape, we have a trusted housekeeper who visits every other week for about four hours, and we do our best to schedule her visits on school days when the nanny is not around. Cultivating a rich and diverse environment, dad, who is from France, speaks both English and French to our son, while mom, an American, is also fluent in both languages. As an open-minded family, we hold dear the values of curiosity, kindness towards everyone, and a passion for learning. It's truly important to us that we find a nanny who shares and reinforces these values.

We are genuinely excited about the opportunity to welcome someone into our family as a valued partner. If you're seeking a warm and inviting family where your talents and care will be cherished, we'd love to get to know you better!

About the Child:

Our son is an almost 18-month old boy who is very healthy with no special medical or behavioral needs. He is very loving and loves to give kisses. He loves to read, do anything outside, loves all animals, and is into cars/trucks. He is funny and likes to laugh. He is very social around adults and is getting more social around kids after starting school two days a week. He attends a Jewish early childhood program but we are not very religious at home. He is a great eater and sleeper. He still takes two naps per day, but we are hoping to eliminate the morning nap soon. He is a great eater and we like to cook healthy, organic meals for him. He loves all fruit, hummus, beans, lentils, eggs, avocado, broccoli, yogurt, and some other veggies (though we want to expand his diet). Some meat is ok. (Mom has severe fish allergy so avoid fish.) He has no known food allergies.

Their Ideal Nanny: We are seeking a candidate who embodies reliability, punctuality, and effective communication as core attributes. While we can accommodate flexibility, clear and open communication is necessary, both concerning schedules and their expectations to ensure their job satisfaction. An active disposition and a willingness to engage in outdoor activities are highly preferred, given our son's fondness for outdoor play. Prior experience as a nanny is a requirement for this position.

We value qualities such as curiosity, creativity, and a genuine affection for children. We are looking for an individual who is committed to adhering to our established schedule but is also open to providing constructive feedback on what works well and what could be improved. We envision this role as a true partnership in our son's development, where the ideal candidate is not only nurturing but also willing to offer well-informed insights and guidance, all while respecting our fundamental values. Professionalism and maintaining healthy work boundaries are integral to our expectations.

Additional Job Details: We provide car seats and strollers, and we'd appreciate it if you could engage our son in an off-site activity daily, within a short distance. He enjoys the library, parks, outdoor play, picnics, music classes, and library book readings, and short walks. We're conveniently located near various parks, libraries, and shopping centers, all within a 5-10 minute drive.

We follow the Moms on Call Schedule, which is generally wake up at 7 am, breakfast at 8 am, morning nap at 9 am for one hour (though we will try to eliminate this in coming months), snack after wakeup around 10:15 am, lunch at 12, afternoon nap from 1:30-3:30 (though move to 12:45 or so when morning nap is eliminated), snack at wakeup around 3:30, dinner at 5:30, sleep at 7:15. The schedule works well for our son and is important to us.

We like to learn from our nanny, so we are open to feedback and hope you will feel free to share tips and information you have about developmental milestones. Bilingual (Spanish or French) speaking is a plus, but not required. We are open to joining classes or programs but would like you to be creative in coming up with free activities to do. We have a fenced-in pool that you are welcome to use in the summer and an enclosed backyard.
