Job # 15034: Sweet Little Boy Needs A Part-Time Nanny In Phoenix, AZ (N 19th Ave and W Dunlap Ave)

Message from Family:

Both parents are originally from St. Charles, MO. They spent 10 years living in NYC and recently left in June.

My Husband is a freelance lighting designer for theatre and television. I work for a commercial real estate company. My husband was just offered a teaching position at a University. I am finishing up maternity leave and will be working primarily remote. I would like to continue to breastfeed as often as I can. We are securing a lease in northern Phoenix. We would like the nanny to come to our apartment during the day after my husband leaves and I start work.

About the Child:
Our son is almost 4 months old! He is our one and only child. He is continuing to grow and working on all of his motor skills. Currently, he loves chewing on his hands, still hates sleeping on his back, and will tolerate the pacifier (but prefers mom to everything!)

Their Ideal Nanny:

We’re looking for someone who takes into consideration our initial input but has the freedom to take the lead for the most part. Someone who loves taking care of infants and will be good and kind towards our little boy. Someone who can help him grow and learn as he reaches new age milestones. Not mandatory but if the chosen candidate is fluent in another language it would be great to have our son be bilingual. We’re new parents so still learning ourselves. I’m hoping our nanny will have better luck in the sleep department getting our son to sleep without having to nurse him to sleep almost every time.

Ideally, we would love our Nanny to have knowledge about infants and can work with us on using safe sleep practices, preparing/feeding bottles if I cannot breastfeed at the moment, and helping our son develop motor skills and other infant learning milestones as they come up.

We hope the nanny will be with us in the long run and can even travel with us in the future.

Additional Job Details: This Nanny thing is new to us and we are also in the middle of a cross-country move so learning as we go!

Travel: When our son is a little older we may need someone to travel with us if I cannot take off work. A passport would be required. It wouldn't be more than once a quarter if that.
