Message from Mom: I'm an attorney who works out of the home. Dad is in finance and works a hybrid schedule at home and in the office. We do not have any pets. We have three sweet children who are looking for their next best friend! We limit screen time to 30 minutes per day and prefer to promote outdoor activities as much as possible. With the baby, we need someone to keep her on her schedule and show her plenty of love and affection. The children's grandmother will be watching the baby in the mornings, so she will only be with the nanny for the last half of her shift, giving her plenty of time to spend one-on-one with our older boys. This position does involve regular driving in our family vehicle.
About the Children:
Our oldest is a four-and-a-half-year-old boy. He enjoys playing outside, going to the park, zoo, and botanic gardens, swimming, and riding bikes and scooters. He attends preschool three mornings per week and loves it. He has a moderate personality - he's a pretty compliant, easy child.
Our middle child is a three-year-old boy. He's been potty trained for over a year. He's very social and enjoys the same activities as Cole. He's outgoing and generally well-behaved but can be stubborn at times. He wears an eye patch on his right eye for three hours in the morning and glasses full time.
Our youngest is our eight-month-old daughter. She's very active and vocal and loves to interact with people. She loves her brothers, playmat, bouncer, and jumper, taking walks outside, and being around others. She's on a good schedule, napping 10:30–11:00 am, 1:00–3:00 pm, and 5:20–5:30 pm (third nap will be dropping very soon). She eats breast milk from the bottle and purees. She's good-natured, fun, and easy to read.
Their Ideal Nanny: Our ideal nanny is dependable/reliable, experienced with multiple children and babies, a great multi-tasker, and an excellent communicator. They must have both infant and toddler experience. It is also important that our nanny connects well with our family - a moderate personality and, most importantly, someone who loves children. Our focus with the older boys is teaching kindness and respect to others, as well as healthy eating, sleep, and hygiene habits. We highly value our nanny and will let you take the lead with the children. We do not micromanage, respond cooperatively to any issues raised, and value strong communication. We had our last nanny for a year and a half, so we are looking for that same consistency with our children.
Additional Job Details: Our oldest will be in preschool one of the mornings, so the position will involve picking him up around 11:30 am in the family car. The boys eat lunch around noon, and everyone naps or has quiet time from 1–3 pm. We typically have some activity in the morning (park, zoo, botanic gardens, library, splash pad, swimming, museum, etc.) and then stay closer to home in the afternoon. Dinner is at 5:30 pm for the boys. The boys bathe/shower every other evening so we may need some assistance with that after dinner.
