Job #89838: Trustworthy And Observant Nanny Needed For A Cheerful Toddler In Parker, TX (Angel Pkwy & W Lucas Rd)

Updates In Red!

Message from Family: Mom and Dad both work from home in finance and cherish the moments when our cross paths with our daughter during the day. We are deeply committed to her well-being and always ensure her needs are fully met.

We take a simplistic approach to life and caregiving. For instance, we do not have a TV and avoid using screens around our daughter, except for taking pictures and videos. Mom and Dad use Lovevery toys and have minimal other toys. Instead we rely on outside activities for stimulation, we believe in allowing her to experience boredom. We trust that she will develop at her own pace, and our parenting style prioritizes connection to support this growth.

Additionally, we do not have pets or any other household employees. We plan to have a second child in the next few years and are looking for a nanny who is excited to grow with our family long-term.

About the Child:Our daughter is a happy and compassionate 2-year-old who is very energetic and active. She loves the outdoors and is incredibly intelligent and engaged. She loves going on walks in the neighborhood to look for ducks, rocks, dig in the dirt, and generally just be in nature. She loves the play set in the backyard, with the swing and slide as her favorites. She loves art projects, books, cars and trucks, and climbing on the various equipment we have in the house. She is just beginning to explore imaginative play – her stuffed animals are her best friends – and can spend hours playing with her friends (currently with an adult on the other end).

Our daughter has a strong, secure attachment to both of her parents and continues to breastfeed on demand.

Their Ideal Nanny:

Someone who has the following traits-

Secure Attachment: We want a nanny who will form a trusting bond with our daughter, helping her navigate toddlerhood emotions.

Attention to Detail: Observes and interprets our daughter's behavior to address her needs, especially when she cannot express them verbally.

Trust-Building: Understands her perceptiveness and gains her trust to engage with her fully.

Empathy:Recognizes behaviors, for example, resisting a diaper change isn't defiance but a sign of an underlying need not being met such as a tummy ache.

Contact Sleeper Comfort:She co-sleeps with Mom and is a contact sleeper, so we need someone who would view staying in contact through her nap as a blessing and love the snuggles, rather than seeing it as entrapment.

Independent Play Awareness:Respects our daughter's independent play by not interfering unnecessarily.

Engagement and Creativity: Someone who will come each week with new books from the library or activity ideas to keep her interested and engaged—someone who has a great imagination and can get lost in our daughter's imaginary world.

Outdoor Enthusiasm:Enjoys being outside, especially in Texas summers, and embraces messy play while ensuring cleanliness afterward.

Cleanliness:Maintains a clean environment, mindful of spots, stains, and food messes. Cleanliness is very important—mom will notice every speck of food left on the floor or any spot or stain on the carpet.

Attention to Detail: Able to read our daughters behavior to understand her needs, even when she cannot express them herself. Our daughter is very perceptive and will not engage with someone if she can't trust them.

Reliability: Punctuality is important. We need someone who respects our time and understands that a 9 a.m. start time means we need to be available for 9 a.m. meetings (arriving 5 minutes early is considered "on time").
