Message from Family: The father works from home in sales, and the mother is currently the primary caregiver for their two children. The family also has a very friendly dog who loves being part of the household activity.

About the Children: Our firstborn daughter is an adventurous, almost 3-year-old! She loves reading books, going on neighborhood walks, playing at the playground, and spending time with her cousins. She has shown us that she is very capable, communicating her needs and ideas, playing independently, and willingly taking on new challenges. As she has become a big sister, there have been many changes and transitions, which have made settling into a routine a bit of a challenge. Thankfully, she adores her brother and is excited about her role as a big sister. We're just needing some extra help managing this new normal for our family.

Our youngest is almost 4 months old, a sweet, happy baby who is still establishing his sleep routine. We have just started him in daycare during the week (at the same school our daughter attends), so we're hoping this will help him settle into a more consistent schedule. As of now, he maintains fairly standard three-hour wake windows. In general, he has been an easy baby, he has a calm temperament and is happy unless he becomes overtired or hungry.

Their Ideal Nanny: The family is looking for someone warm, confident, and family-oriented. Someone who is comfortable stepping in as an extra set of hands and becoming a consistent presence in the home. Someone who is experienced with infants through school-age children. Able to gently take charge, set healthy boundaries, and provide structure without being overly strict or authoritarian. Confident enough to guide children while still being nurturing and calm. Not easily flustered… able to manage transitions and busy moments with ease, and comfortable supporting parents in a collaborative way. Brings a grounded, intuitive approach, offering guidance when needed but never overstepping.

Additional Job Details: We are looking for immediate assistance for afternoon and evening support throughout the week, as well as weekend support for our two children. For our older daughter, we are working on establishing firmer routines around toileting, bathing, teeth brushing, and eating, and would appreciate support in these areas, along with additional help caring for the baby.

Start Date: ASAP

Duties:
Light housekeeping

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM
* Guaranteed 20 hours per week
* Occasional weekend day help may be needed

Compensation: $35-$40 per hour DOE
