Creative & Committed Nanny Needed for Busy Mom & Daughter in Phoenix, AZ (E Camelback Rd & N 24th St)

Nanny

Message from Mom:I'm a single mother with a busy legal practice, and while I'm fortunate to have a great co-parenting relationship with my daughter's dad, I do have full-time custody of her. I'm looking for a helpful nanny to help with school pick-up, after-school snacks/homework, light housework, and meal prep her lunches during the work week. I'd also love for the nanny to help with some things around the home in their downtime. We have three short-haired cats. The responsibilities include providing food and water daily, but no litter box duties are required. We also use a Roomba, so there isn't much cat hair to manage.

About the Child:My daughter is an eight-year-old with a strong interest in crafts, drawing, music, performance, and science. She loves to play with hair/makeup, dolls, make-believe, going to the park, dancing, and singing. On Mondays and Thursdays, she has piano lessons. Her dad does have dinner with her once a week, which is part of our strong co-parenting relationship.

Their Ideal Nanny:I am seeking a responsible, educated nanny with experience working one-on-one with older children. A background in providing after-school homework support is essential, and experience with older children is a requirement for this role. A higher education degree is highly preferred, and candidates with this qualification will be given priority. The ideal nanny will be able to engage with a more independent child, balancing both structure and fun. We value creativity, so the nanny should enjoy participating in activities like putting on plays, crafting, and choreographing dance routines. Additionally, the nanny should be willing to assist with household duties and errands.

Additional Job Details: On Mondays and Thursdays, mom may occasionally take her daughter to piano lessons. On Tuesdays, dad has dinner with their daughter for about an hour. On Wednesdays, school pickup is at 4:30 PM. During these days, the nanny will support various household tasks such as running errands (e.g., dry cleaning), helping with laundry, preparing and packing the child's lunches, wiping down tables and counters, and light cleaning—including dry-swiffering once a week and window cleaning with Windex every other week. The nanny may also handle grocery pickups as needed.
