Message from Family: Mom and Dad are both in and out of the house as most work is done from home and is very flexible. We are pretty relaxed/fun people who just want to ensure safety and learning for our kiddo. We also have a very friendly 130lb Great Dane.

About the Child: Our son is a little over 1 year old. He has Down Syndrome and is the most amazing, happy, funny guy. We will share physical therapy and occupational therapy exercises that we would like our nanny to practice daily. We also welcome any activities that the nanny will plan to expand skills, creativity, etc.

Their Ideal Nanny: Our ideal nanny would be someone who will get on the floor and engage with play. Of course our sons safety is the biggest priority. We expect that our nanny will look into sensory activities and crafts to help our son learn new things. They will work on the therapies that we share with them so patient and willingness to learn is extremely important. Going outside, to play groups, etc. would all be great too. The nanny will need to cook well rounded and healthy meals for our son and keep up with his laundry/keep his room clean. We are looking for someone who is patient and will help him work towards milestones. Someone that has down syndrome experience would be a huge plus but ideally they are looking for someone with a significant amount of experience being a special needs nanny and has children's physical therapy experience.

Additional Job Details: Mom and Dad will take the child to all doctors appointments and therapies. During the appointments we would like for the nanny to help with the household work. Ideally the nanny would help with some household management as well since we travel a lot. Our car can be used if driving our child but would prefer nanny's own car is used for occasional errands. We travel quite a bit so those will also be additional paid days off. Occasional travel with family may be offered but not expected. No major care for the dog is needed but must be willing to let him outside to the bathroom throughout the day if needed.

Start Date: ASAP

Expected Job Duration: Until May 23, 2024.

Duties: 

Grocery shopping

Light housekeeping

Miscellaneous errands

Childs laundry

Cooking for child

Meal prep for family (Chopping veggies, washing fruit/veggies)

Schedule: Monday- Friday. 8:00am- 4:00pm or 9:00am- 5:00am. *Weekly schedule will likely be combination of these times.

Compensation: $26 to $30 per hour

Benefits: Paid Vacation, Sick Pay, Paid Holidays and Gas Mileage Reimbursement
