Message from Mom: Both parents work in medicine, and the length of our workday can vary. So some flexibility in the duration of the work day would be excellent. Our son will need care at this stage until he is of school age. We have a dog. However, the dog goes to work with dad daily, so there would be little interaction with the nanny. Still, someone comfortable around dogs would be ideal.
About the Child: Our son was born at the end of May and is our first child. He has the pretty typical needs of a newborn baby boy. He is breastfed and will continue to be fed breastmilk via bottle when mom is at work. He will require a fully vaccinated nanny, including vaccination for SARS COVID-19.
Their Ideal Nanny: A nanny who can bring a vibrant, engaging energy to childcare through encouraging learning and active play. Reliability is imperative as both parents have rather unforgiving work schedules. We are looking for a nanny who is patient, organized, a self-starter, and an effective communicator. Someone educated and skilled in child development would be ideal. Newborn experience is a must!
