Message from Family:Mom and Dad are tech executives in software development. We work from home, but our days are long, so we need reliable childcare as we get back to work in June. We're not super serious people and would love someone with a good sense of humor! We also have a little dog that we love very much, and who absolutely loves our baby!

About the Child: Our daughter is our only child, and she's just a few weeks old. She's absolutely wonderful—right now, her main hobbies are eating and sleeping!

Their Ideal Nanny:We are looking for someone who genuinely loves working with infants and children. Someone who is willing to work full-time caring for our daughter and providing light housekeeping support. (We have weekly house cleaners, so responsibilities would include tasks like dishes, tidying up, folding laundry, and meal prep.) The ideal candidate will be great with dogs, self-directed, and passionate about infant care.

Although we don't return to work until June, we'd like to hire someone earlier to establish a good routine and ensure we feel comfortable with their care for our daughter.

Additional Job Details:

Core Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary caregiver for our baby during the day when parents are unavailable, ensuring her safety, well-being, and development

• Provide excellent care for the baby, adhering to her schedule for feeding, diaper changes, naps, and bath time

• Engage in age-appropriate activities during awake time

• Take the baby on walks outside (feel free to bring the dog along!)

• Ensure the baby's safety at all times, including outings and transportation

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of baby supplies and nursery

• Handle baby and family laundry

• Assist with light household tasks (dishes, tidying)

• Occasionally run errands (e.g., grocery shopping) and prep meals for family

Qualifications:

• Must love dogs and be comfortable with our fur baby

• 3+ years of experience in childcare, with a focus on infant care

• Must have proof of vaccinations - Tdap and flu

Travel:Ideally, we'd love someone who's open to travel, but it's not a requirement. We travel back to Croatia twice a year for family reasons, mostly for work on the west coast, and a few times a year for vacations. It would be wonderful if our nanny could join us on some of these trips.

Cooking/Meal Prep for child and family

Schedule:Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm  

* Guaranteed 40 hours a week

* Occasional date nights/evenings

Compensation: $25-$33 per hour DOE
