Message from Family: We're an active, welcoming family excited to welcome our second child in October! Dad is a trauma surgeon, and Mom, who is a trained physician assistant and registered dietitian, has been a dedicated stay-at-home mom since our first was born. Both parents will be around, so we're looking for a nanny who is comfortable working alongside us. Dad's schedule is unique—he works one week on and one week off, so during his off weeks, he'll be home. Mom will continue to be a stay-at-home mom but could use some extra help with our growing family.
We also have a wonderful dog, but we keep him and our son separated. Additionally, we have yard care every other week, which won't require any interaction from our nanny. Our cleaning lady comes once a month, and on those days, we typically head out—this could be a fun day at the zoo, a relaxing hotel day, or even a day off for our nanny!
About the Children: Our 2.5-year-old son is an absolute joy—he's a smiley, sweet little guy who lights up when there's music playing and loves to clap along. He's starting to become more verbal, with a few words so far, and is making great progress. He enjoys swim, music, and baby ninja classes, where he's learning to interact with other kids and seems to be quite extroverted. After a challenging birth, he underwent extensive physical and occupational therapy, and while he's doing well overall, we're still focusing on fine motor skills. He's not the best eater and has some sensory sensitivities with food, but thanks to speech therapy, he's made significant strides.
We're also excited to welcome our second baby around October!
Their Ideal Nanny: We prefer someone who is Bilingual (Spanish speaker) but is not required. We also prefer someone who is COVID/Flu/Tdap vaccinated. We need someone who has a flexible personality I would say. Not necessarily with times, we can do a consistent schedule even though I would like them to be open to extra hours/maybe a short trip - but flexible day to day is going to be the huge thing. Would love someone to take some initiative on new little art projects, someone who is 100% open to suggestions or a second pair of eyes, but we're not looking for someone to come in and overhaul our entire system. We just need someone who is kind and patient, believes in respecting kids.
Additional Job Details: We're looking for a nanny who embodies kindness, patience, and a genuine respect for children. While it's not required, we would love to find someone who is bilingual in Spanish. It's also important to us that our nanny is vaccinated for COVID, flu, and Tdap. Flexibility is key—not so much with scheduling, as we can offer a consistent routine, but more in terms of day-to-day adaptability. We appreciate someone who is open to occasional extra hours or even a short trip, but more importantly, someone who can go with the flow as daily needs shift. Creativity is a plus—we'd love someone who takes the initiative with fun art projects and is open to suggestions or being a second pair of eyes. However, we're not looking for someone to completely revamp our way of doing things; just someone who can seamlessly integrate into our home and support our family.
