Message from Family: We are both full-time physicians, and while our work can be unpredictable and sometimes involves emergencies, we make it a priority for one of us to be home for dinner with the kids by 5 PM. Despite our busy careers, we take great pride in being actively involved in our children's care and upbringing. We value a collaborative, team-based approach to childcare built on open and honest communication. We have no pets, and our home is professionally cleaned once a week.
About the Children:
Our eldest is a bright and loving 6-year-old boy, soon to start first grade. He is curious, energetic, and eager to learn.
Our middle child is a smart, independent, and fun-loving 4-year-old boy with a big heart and a deep sense of empathy.
Our youngest is a sweet and spirited 2-year-old girl who is adventurous, playful, and always ready to keep up with her brothers.
Their Ideal Family Assistant: We're looking for someone with a positive attitude who takes initiative and values open, honest communication. Someone who is genuinely caring and patient, understands children on their level, and knows how to truly engage with them. We hope to find a person who can seamlessly integrate into our home, connect with our calm and loving household, and willingly pitch in wherever needed. We deeply value a self-starter who embraces the role as part of the family!
Additional Job Details: The morning family assistant will help get the children ready for the day, pack lunches, clean up the kitchen after breakfast, assist with school drop-offs as needed, and begin laundry and household organization tasks. They should also be available to care for the children if they are sick or unable to attend school or daycare that day. While most mornings will focus on household management, the family assistant should be comfortable providing full care for all three children on non-school days, such as early releases, holidays, or other occasions when they are home.
*The role also includes an average of 1–2 overnights per month (schedule provided in advance) while Mom is on call, to ensure someone is available if she needs to leave for the hospital during the night. During these nights, the Family Assistant will stay in the home in a private guest room with an attached bathroom and shower. If needed, these overnight shifts can be covered by the other Family Assistant.
