Job #28448: MVP Nanny Needed for an Active Scottsdale Family (E Bell Rd & N Pima Rd)
Agency Point of Contact for Job #28448: Kate (480) 586-3012
Message from Family: Both Mom and Dad are physicians with demanding schedules, and we have two boys who are in school. Since we leave for work before school starts, we need someone to help with breakfast, ensure their bags are packed, and take them to school in the mornings. The boys are very active in sports, so we're looking for someone who can drive them to and from practices and games. While they're at school, we would appreciate help managing the day-to-day tasks that keep the household running smoothly.
We also have a sweet mini Goldendoodle, and a cleaning service comes once a week while a yard service visits every other week.
As a family, we love staying active and enjoying the outdoors, so we'd love to find someone who shares that enthusiasm and is ready to join in on activities with the boys!
About the Children: Our oldest son is 13 years old. He is very active and plays baseball, flag football, and rock climbs. He is rambunctious at times and has a lot of energy. He loves to talk and he also loves art. He does better with a caregiver who can remain calm and emotionally regulated when under pressure or stress.
Our youngest is 10 year old and is in 4th grade. He is also involved in sports - baseball, basketball, and flag football. He enjoys playing with his neighborhood friends. He is very kind, helpful, and independent. He occasionally will antagonize his older brother (and his older brother will antagonize him) so we need someone who is comfortable handling sibling conflict.
Our furry family member is a 3-year-old mini Goldendoodle. He does not shed and is hypoallergenic. He is the sweetest, calmest dog. He loves children and other dogs. He loves to play at the park, go for walks, and be outside.
Their Ideal Nanny: We're looking for a nanny who is kind, emotionally regulated, and comfortable working with energetic preteen and teenage boys. Our kids are pretty self-sufficient, but they still need reminders, guidance, and the occasional redirection. We'd love someone who is active, enjoys engaging with the boys, and encourages them to do things that don't involve screens or technology.
Being organized and tidy is important to us. We'll need help keeping schedules on track, packing school lunches, and making sure the kids are fed and ready to go.
We'd also appreciate it if our nanny avoids discussing topics like politics, religion, or other sensitive subjects that might not be age-appropriate. We'd prefer to have those conversations with our kids when the time is right.
Additional Job Details: We would prefer that the nanny be a safe driver and have their own vehicle (that can fit two children in the back seat) to transport our children. A clean driving record is required.
Ideally, we would prefer someone who is willing to take our doggie out to the park or for a walk when the kids are at school.
We try to limit electronics when possible during the week.
