Message from Mom: My husband and I both work full time and do not have the option of working from home. We both also travel a fair amount. We are looking for a nanny to help with after-school hours and summer break, but someone who has the flexibility to work overtime or babysit on occasion as well. After school likely includes sports activities, they will need to be driven to and from. We also have an adorable older dog (a poodle mix) who is about 25 pounds. We would appreciate the occasional dog walk or letting her in the yard when appropriate. She is hypo-allergenic and is great with people, even those she doesn’t know. Our family had two wonderful nannies, one when we lived in DC and one in Denver. Both nannies created just the kind of nurturing and caring environment we were looking for.
About the Child:
Our first daughter is currently five and a half. She is sweet and energetic and very social. She loves playing with her friends, gymnastics, running, and swimming.
Our second daughter just turned 3. She is also sweet and energetic, like her big sister. She loves swimming and gymnastics and will be going to school for the first time this Fall. Also, like her sister, she loves being around people and playing with other kids.
Their Ideal Nanny: Our ideal nanny would be an engaging, loving, and caring personality who can create a nurturing and caring environment that promotes healthy development and fun. We would like some structure for our girls and an emphasis on good behavior and healthy eating habits. Flexibility is very important for us as well. We want our nanny to love our children and enjoy being a part of our family. We prefer some prior professional caregiving experience. We have had excellent nannies in the past who became a part of our family, and we hope to replicate that experience in Phoenix.
