Job # 88246: Observant And Engaging Part-Time Nanny Needed In Phoenix, AZ (E McDonald Dr & N Scottsdale Rd)
Agency Point of Contact for Job # 88246: Kate (480) 586-3012
Message from Family: Mom and Dad are both successful business owners with a deep passion for life and family. Our close-knit family cherishes the time we spend together, and home is our sanctuary, especially as both of our children have food allergies. We place a strong emphasis on education and love to engage our children in learning through play. Our home is fully staffed with dedicated household employees, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Due to our children's allergies, we do not have any pets.
About the Children: Our oldest is a sweet, loving 4-year-old boy. He's kind-hearted, enthusiastic about all things boyish, and very smart.
Our youngest is an almost 2-year-old girl who is the epitome of a sweet girly girl. She's also very intelligent, with a passion for dancing, doing art, reading, and playing with her brother.
Both children have severe food allergies.
Their Ideal Nanny: We are looking for a Nanny who genuinely loves children and is patient, fun, and full of energy. The ideal candidate should be highly observant and proactive in ensuring the safety and well-being of our children, especially given their severe food allergies. We value a Nanny who is creative, smart, and resourceful—someone who can bring a sense of humor and joy into our home while being hyper-aware of what the kids are doing at all times.
Strategic thinking is essential, particularly when we leave the house. The perfect Nanny will be someone who can think ahead, ensuring that safe snacks, EpiPens, water, and other essentials are always packed and ready. I believe in taking care of our Nanny's well-being too, so if we start earlier than usual, I'll make sure you can leave early, and if you stay late, you'll have the flexibility to come in later or take a long break in between—it's all about balance.
Their Ideal Nanny Requirements:
Genuine Love For Children: Must have a true passion for nurturing and engaging with children, creating a joyful and supportive environment.
Knowledgeable About Food Allergies: Must be well-informed about managing anaphylactic food allergies and committed to maintaining strict hygiene standards to ensure a safe environment.
Confident In The Kitchen: Should be comfortable preparing or reheating meals, with basic cooking skills such as steaming vegetables, making rice, and using an air fryer to create healthy meals.
Education Focused: Smart, creative, and willing to go the extra mile when engaging with the children. Must have a strong commitment to supporting early childhood learning. While the children are home-schooled, the focus is on foundational activities like tracing, counting, and letter recognition.
Safety-Conscious: Must prioritize the safety and well-being of the children above all else, ensuring a secure and protected environment at all times.
Willingness To Travel: Open to accompanying the family on trips when needed. The travel duties will be shared with another nanny.
Their Ideal Nanny Preferences:
Background/Experience: Nursing or teaching experience is a plus, especially with a strong knowledge of Montessori learning.
Bilingual: Preferably bilingual in Spanish.
Additional Job Requirements:
A clean driving record.
No pet allergens brought into the home from the nanny's personal items.
No food allergens brought into the home from the nanny's lunch
Wearing uniforms when working is required. The uniform will be scrubs and will be provided by employer.
Work uniforms washed with free and clear detergent
No use of perfume.
Able to work closely with mom, as she is very hands on.
Travel: We frequently take domestic trips, usually lasting 2-4 days. Although international travel is rare, it may occur once a year, typically in the summer, and can last 2-4 weeks. Our nannies will alternate who accompanies us on these trips and it's uncommon for us to bring both nannies with us at the same time.
