Job #50664: Reliable And Loving Nanny Needed In Honolulu, HI (Kahala)
Agency Point of Contact for Job #50664: Kate (480) 586-3012
Message from Family: Both Mom and Dad work from home, and we don't have any pets. We expect to continue working from home while the nanny is here. Our home has a large play area upstairs in the living room, while our workspaces are downstairs. This means we're always close by if you need support, whether during a tantrum or a challenging moment with both children at once.
We do not plan on having any other employees in the home while you are here. Since our townhouse doesn't have a safe outdoor space for kids (the balconies aren't child-friendly), playtime would take place indoors.
About the Children: Our oldest is 3 years old and has just started preschool for the first time, having never attended daycare. He is a curious, inquisitive child who especially loves singing.
Our youngest is 1 year old. She is beginning to say single words like “birdy” and “car,” and she's walking, and even running, everywhere. She loves music and enjoys moving her body to dance.
Both kids have only been cared for by their mom, dad, and grandma.
Their Ideal Nanny: We're looking for someone who is warm, playful, and genuinely loves spending time with little kids. Reliability and professionalism are important to us, as well as consistency in routines and care. We value someone who is approachable, a strong communicator, and open to conversations about parenting styles, while always being respectful of our role as parents.
Additional Job Details: The kids typically we have eaten breakfast before the nanny will arrive. The position will involve play time with them and serving them lunch around 10a. We then will put our kids to sleep for a nap when you leave.
At the end and beginning, we may ask you to do some very light meal prep- such as cutting fruit, cooking pasta, or light cleaning of the kids eating spaces.
On school days, Mom and Dad drop their son off at preschool at 7:30 a.m. and pick him up at 2:00 p.m. During those hours, the nanny would only be caring for our 1-year-old, unless it happens to be a rare day when preschool is closed. On weekends, you would be looking after both children while both parents work.
