Message from Mom: Hi there! I'm a stay-at-home mom, and my husband works in the tech industry. We have one energetic little boy and another baby on the way—I'm currently five months pregnant. We've just moved into a new home, and we are looking for a full-time mother's helper to help care for our son and assist with light housekeeping and household tasks. As I get our new house organized, my focus will gradually shift to my pregnancy and newborn. It's important for us to find someone our son feels comfortable with, especially as we approach the time when I give birth and will need extra support.
About the Children: Our son is a very energetic and active little boy. He is 16 months old. He is playful and very sweet. Our second child is due in December 2024.
Their Mother's Helper: We are looking for a mother's helper who is positive, happy, and interested in a long-term commitment with our loving family. Flexibility is key for this position as our days are not always super structured. Since I am very hands-on during the day, we need someone who can seamlessly transition between childcare and household tasks. Duties would include running errands, cleaning the kitchen, Swiffering and vacuuming the floors, handling random tasks, and most importantly, laundry.
We also have two very friendly dogs—one is about 90 lbs, and the other is only 8 lbs. While pet care is minimal, the mother's helper would need to let the dogs outside occasionally.
A requirement for this position is at least 4+ years of professional childcare experience.
Additional Job Details: On a typical day, the mother's helper would start in the morning and play with our son from 8 am to 10 am. I handle feedings at 10 am and put him down for a 3-hour nap. During this nap time, the mother's helper would help with household tasks. In the afternoon, after I get him up from his nap, the mother's helper would take over his care. When the new baby arrives, it will be crucial for the mother's helper to assist with the transition and be available last minute when I go into labor.
We maintain a meat-free kitchen, so no seafood or meat can be brought into the home.
Travel: Eventually, we would like for the mother's helper to travel to Canada with our family. Ability to travel and a passport is a plus! For now, we need someone who can house and pet sit when we travel.
