A Perfect Fit was created from a passion for children. The nanny placement process is a unique service that entails an unwavering commitment to detail. Every family is unique, and we pride ourselves in getting to know each and every family and nanny in order to make A Perfect Fit.
With my 15 years of experience as a nanny, teacher, and a nanny placement coordinator, I have learned that finding a trusted and reliable childcare solution, although imperative, is just the beginning of a parent's journey during their nanny search. Finding a person that completes your family puzzle on every level is sometimes an overlooked component that I find essential, and is my focus when considering the potential between families and nannies.
My passion has always been about people and meaningful relationships. You will see this in my lengthy FaceTime sessions with my nephews and in my lasting friendships, evidenced by the bridesmaid dresses taking over my closet. You will also see this passion at the dance recitals, T-ball games, and gymnastics meets of my former nanny charges, because the important moments of 'my kids' are a priority. I credit my early years babysitting and high school experience in a child-oriented occupational program as the foundation for my child centered life-long journey. I expanded the foundation as a nanny and teacher, before transitioning into nanny placement services and eventually building my own business.
My families can find comfort knowing that I draw on my established relationship with the nanny community to focus on the kind of nannies I am proud to refer. Trust my confidence in my experience and passion for creating lasting connections between families and nannies. I invite you to share with me a passion for finding your 'perfect fit', so that the children benefit, which is the most important piece of the puzzle.
Growing up as the oldest sibling in my family, I always knew that I wanted to work with children as they are a genuine joy to be around and there is never a dull moment! I have truly always felt the happiest and most comfortable in the jobs I had that involved working directly with youth. I started this journey by mentoring children in the foster care system, providing weekend and temp nannying to families, and attending Northern Arizona University to earn my Bachelors Degree in both Elementary and Special Education which I received in 2015.
While working with so many families from different phases of life, socioeconomic backgrounds, and unique family dynamics, one thing became apparent: it truly does take a village to raise a family. Every person in a child’s life helps set the foundation from which they will grow. I see this to be true in my own children on a daily basis. Kevin, my oldest son, has recently become a Marine after being influenced by his Grandfathers and favorite teacher who served. My teenage daughter, Kristen, loves to cook and play piano like her Father and Grandmother, and she absolutely loves being a big sister who is fully engaged in her siblings’ lives. Chloe, my 3 year old, is quite the performer - much like myself, she loves to make people laugh and thoroughly enjoys conversation. My youngest, Christopher, is always carefully observing those around him, and while he has yet to reveal his personality, I know without a doubt that these acute observations will help shape his future self.
As a parent and former nanny myself, I understand the weight that comes with choosing the right nanny to join you on this special journey in raising your children. Finding someone that provides a solid and loving foundation for your littles while fitting perfectly into your routine and family dynamic is essential for everyone. Working with many different children and families over the last 10 years has taught me that consistency from all adults involved in a child’s life is key as it provides an environment for them to feel safe which gives opportunity to thrive both at home and school. This is why A Perfect Fit is so dear to my heart- I love that I work with a team that genuinely cares about each and every individual family’s needs and passionately works hard to help them find a nanny that will truly be their perfect fit.
I am very happy to be part of the Perfect Fit Nanny family! Just a brief background about me, I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology majoring in Guidance and Counseling with a focus in Education and Special Education. Previously I worked as a volunteer for our local community's Special Education Center where I helped teach children with special needs. I have been exposed to the reality that children have varying needs hence, we, as adults and nannies must try different techniques and strategies when working with and caring for children. Now that I have children of my own, I am able to demonstrate what I have learned in school and from my previous experience so I can be the best mother that I can be. I am excited for this new phase in my life working as a Nanny Coordinator. As a new member of the team, I can already sense how well they treat their employees and everyone that's part of the team. My role as a Nanny Coordinator serves as a perfect avenue for me to showcase my skills in the recruitment field while putting a "motherly touch" with what I do that's necessary for the job. As a parent, I also have my own standards in searching for a nanny which I can apply to my role as a Nanny Coordinator. I certainly want to make sure that I am entrusting my children's welfare to someone reliable, honest, and principled. These are just some of the things that I look for in a Nanny to help our families with their childcare needs. Jennifer and the team have welcomed me as a new member of the family which I am very grateful for.
